Big idea

We're leveraging the rise of affordable, open-source embedded electronics to enable small companies and independent developers to create their own mobile devices. Our approach focuses on developing a flexible, modular enclosure system using existing development boards. Our project aims to allow enthusiasts to assemble their own devices, ensuring they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. We're also committed to open-source production, sharing our design and manufacturing process with the community.

Our design is created using OpenSCAD, allowing for easy customization and scalability. LigoBox represents a new frontier in industrial design, encouraging innovation and collaboration within the open-source hardware community

Enclosure

We're creating a kit for assembling mobile devices (phones, tablets) with a modular case, chassis, and interfacing modules. The design is open-source created in OpenSCAD, allowing for easy customization, including changing fasteners for different assembly and expanding the device for various applications.

LigoBox case is an ideal solution for your portable computing device and it is truly free and open.

  • Left panel
  • Additional reinforcing frame for extra internal space.
  • Bottom panel. Includes eight screws for assembly.
  • Front panel. Options include a opened panel for a resistive touch sensor or a panel with a protective covering for capacitive sensor.

In the inner part of enclosure there is a chassis (in development, not shown in the illustration) on which the main board and external peripheral and interface boards are mounted.

Hardware

We have chosen a few popular embedded boards and want to build a complete unit based on them in different variations. So stay tuned, everything coming soon....
